Dr. Kent Naylor is originally from southern Saskatchewan and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. After graduation he practiced for three years with the department of ophthalmology at the University of Saskatchewan prior to opening his own practice. He and his wife Sharon have 4 grown children and 2 grandsons aged 2 and 4. With continuing advancements in reducing the onset and progression of myopia in children Dr Naylor enjoys putting these new technologies into practice with his young grandchildren and the other children that he has the pleasure and privilege of seeing. Contact lens and refractive surgery options are continually improving with more options to eliminate glasses for distance and reading. Dr Naylor enjoys seeing his patients experience the benefits that new and changing technology continues to provide.
Dr. Greg Murdoch is originally from Manitoba and completed his Optometry Degree at the University of Waterloo. After graduation he made the move to Saskatoon and has been fortunate to call this wonderful City home for over 20 years. Through his practice, he has had the pleasure to get to know so many great patients and families from Saskatoon and the surrounding area. Getting to know his many patients and watching kids grow over the years has been one of the great rewards of his career! Many of the kids he saw for their first exam at age 2 are now all grown up and embarking on their own careers!
With advanced imaging techniques, he uses the most up to date technology to guide the examination process and takes pride in offering individualized service to all his patients! For years he has seen many children with advancing nearsightedness continue to progress as they grew. Now, with recent advancements, he is proud to offer new Myopia Control techniques to help slow the progression of myopia(nearsightedness) for many of these patients. This ability to slow the progression and reduce possible future eye health problems has been extremely rewarding and has impacted the lives of so many of his young patients!
Whether it is helping patients achieve their best vision with the newest contact lens and eyeglass technology, helping them deal with macular degeneration or cataract issues, or exploring refractive surgery options, he appreciates every patient and takes pride in treating people like family!
When he is not at the office, his 2 wonderful kids keep him busy with soccer and dance, as well as hitting the outdoors when there’s time. He also has a new addition to the family with a Golden Retriever Pup that is reminding him there is no time to relax!
